ARC Review: Forever Pucked (Pucked #4) by Helena Hunting

Being engaged to Alex Waters, team captain and the highest paid NHL player in the league, is awesome. How could it not be?

In addition to being an amazing hockey player, he’s an incurable romantic with an XL heart, and an XXL hockey stick in his pants. And he knows how to use it. Incredibly, orgasmically well. Alex is the whole package and more. Literally. Like his package is insane. Total world record holder material.

So it makes complete sense that Violet Hall can’t wait to nail him down to the matrimonial mattress and become Mrs. Violet Waters.

It’s so romantic.

Violet is totally stoked to set a date.

Eventually. At some point. Likely before the next millennium. Or when Violet stops getting hives every time someone brings up the wedding, and their mothers stop colluding on stadium sized venues. Whichever comes first. Continue reading ARC Review: Forever Pucked (Pucked #4) by Helena Hunting

Verity Michaels is new to New York City, but even she knows riding in a stolen a cab is not a normal way to meet someone. Damn it if that tattoo-covered would-be felon isn’t everywhere now, and lighting everything on fire under her skirt.

His name is Hudson Fenn, and he’s frustratingly impossible to pin down. He works as a bike messenger, but has the manners of a prince—along with a strange tendency toward breaking and entering. As much as Verity knows he’s not her type, and likely to land her in jail, she can’t help but find her truest self when they’re together.

Can she be brave enough to give Hudson a real chance? Will he be bold enough to reveal the man beneath the ink, or will his secrecy doom their connection? Also, WTF is the deal with Verity’s boss? No less than thirteen of your favorite romance writers have teamed up to tell this sexy, wacky, snort-inducing tale. With them you’ll visit the world’s most irritating office, a VIP room of questionable cleanliness, and the fanciest apartment a bike messenger has ever inhabited, but you’ll still never see this ending coming.

My Review (1)

Disclaimer: I received an eARC of the book in exchange for a honest review.

The Challenge: Pass one chapter to the next author with the vaguest of outlines to work from and see what emerged.

When 13 different authors come together to write one single story – it could either end up being the reader’s worst nightmare OR it could be single greatest thing to have been ever read – and that my lovely peeps is what Felony Ever After was for me!

Some white knights have tattoos, princess.

Hudson Fenn aka @tatwhiteknight, aka Tattoo is exactly what stereotypes would refer to as a criminal and it didn’t really help that when we first meet him, he is actually “stealing” a cab. (Yeah not a great first impression!) – but that cheekiness with just about the right hint of charm endears him to the reader within minutes of us stereotyping him 😀

Verity Michaels, aka @VerityPics03, is a woman without a goal in life, well except to steer clear of her lecherous boss and try and move back to the love she desperately failed the first time. But Hudson is a complication that she never even imagined would be in her path or that he would even define that path!

“You are a total criminal aren’t you?

“Have I stolen your heart yet?”

“Don’t answer. I won’t take it until you give it freely.”

I was a little hesistant when it came to reading this book – considering 13 VERY different authors had written this book – but I absolutely adored it!! It had me in stitches so often at work (don’t worry, it was a slow day!) that my co-workers had given up even trying to keep me quiet after the first three attempts *teehhehehe*

Verity and Hudson (and their Twitter conversations) were exactly the thing that I needed to get over a reading slump – and the little mystery of those packages was as convulated as I had expected when you 13 different minds trying to make sense of the story!

But I would have LOVED a chapter from Hudson’s POV, mostly because the secrets he had been keeping didn’t exactly live up to the potential, but darn if I actually cared! Hudson and Verity together are worth getting to read this hilarious book!

“And then he changes everything with his beautiful heart. #HuggingHim Hudson Fenn @tatwhiteknight You bring out the best in this crazy old organ #YoureBeautiful”

ARC Review: Pucked Over (Pucked #3) by Helena Hunting

Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong? Nothing at all.

NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.

Casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to gets pucked over.
