🗡 Any Book or Series that surprised you; in ways you hadn’t even expected it? 🤩🤩 I need more brilliant series on my TBR! Give me all the recommendations you can give 🥰 • #FWMusings The words *Never Flinch. Never Fear. Never Ever Forget* is a phrase that turned my life around in ways I could never guess! How many places have made it to your unicorn travel list after being enamoured reading about it or hearing about it in a book? 🤩 🗡 For me, it happened with Scotland and Ireland - I absolutely fell love with these two places when I read about them in Julie Garwood historical romances and they still top my unicorn list of places 😍 • #FWMusings 10 Minutes and 38 Seconds in This Strange World by Elif Shafak @shafakelif is an emotional look at the charming old world city of Istanbul where everyone has found refuge in including our protagonist and her makeshift family of misfits! Told in two parts, it’s an emotional look at the life of those who were marginalised and those who hoped that the city would bring them peace and better lives! What’s the most controversial opinion you have actually spoken out loud? 😄 And watched the world burn while they try and argue to change your opinion, with the most illogical arguments ever? 🤔 🗡 I have to be honest, it’s one of my favourite pastimes; and the favourite topics to incite a long winded discussion wherein I can only just stare and shake my head in bafflement at the kind of logic humans use to justify their own opinions! 🤭 • #FWMusings • THE LAST WIDOW by Karin Slaughter @karinslaughterauthor is a brilliant thriller (and my first from the author!) that is a brutal and violent look at the cultist era in the US; wherein the whole one race is considered to be superior; the hatred towards immigrants or even someone remotely different is used as a plot foundation to hold up a mirror to things that most of us turn a blind eye to!
