Adrian Skehan, a top-notch detective in Boston, enjoyed putting dangerous criminals and drug kingpins behind bars. He loved his fast-paced, glamorous city life, but after his estranged grandfather had a major stroke, he moved to Alden, became the sheriff and now he spends his days chasing after senior citizens and dealing with the OGs –the bane of his existence— and Rachel, their obnoxious defender.
Terrific career move, really. Way to screw up his life. And his mental wellbeing.

As if life wasn’t hard enough, now the OGs have decided to work on their bucket list… meaning the granddaughter and the sheriff must join forces to survive the mayhem.
He likes his women… ivory-tower delicate. Not loud, highly opinionated and smelling of gasoline.
She likes her men… easy-going. Not arrogant know-it-alls and sticklers for rules.
Keeping these two together is a recipe for disaster. Too bad the OGs don’t see it that way.

Hilarious introduction to a new – to – me author; but what an introduction it was!

Grease Babe introduces us to a staid, stiff collared Sheriff, Adrian and a grease painted fingers and hands tomboy mechanic, Rachel – and all out opposites attract romance with a surprise depth that will have you not only smiling but also filled with joy when you end the book!

I adored how the author has inexplicably been able to combine two individuals who have had to face their own experience with trauma with jut the right amount of humour that had me not only emotionally satisfied but also had me giggling at the antics of not just the protagonists’s connection but also at the antics of the Grandma brigade.

This combination of emotion and humour could have only worked if the protagonists’ had cooperated with the author and all things good in the universe, the MCs did a fan – freaking – tastic job of giving their best side to the author to create a romance that will make sure this author will be someone to look out for in the future!
