In this funny and frothy novella that picks up where the New York Times bestselling The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue leaves off, freshly minted couple Monty and Percy fumble through their first time together.
Monty’s epic grand tour may be over, but now that he and Percy are finally a couple, he realizes there is something more nerve-wracking than being chased across Europe: getting together with the person you love.
Will the romantic allure of Santorini make his first time with Percy magical, or will all the anticipation and build-up completely spoil the mood?
A novella all about Monty and Percy’s first time fornicating? Oh dear lord, and everything that’s holy; I didn’t even realise that it was something I needed until I actually read – and aren’t those the best kind of books there ever could be? *sighs dreamily*
This novella SHOULD NOT BE READ AS A STANDALONE – (Please read: The Gentleman’s Guide To Vice and Virtue – Please Read My Review )I mean, why would you even want to? You have some hilariously adventure filled twists and turns along with awkward moments to give you second hand embarrassment in The Gentleman’s Guide To Getting Lucky and you WANT TO MISS IT? Why? WHY?
I could, to be very honest read all day and every day about the hilariously awkward and yet somehow adorable encounters between our protagonist couple – Monty and Percy – they have somehow become that very relatable awkward teenagers who have taken the bold step of accepting their feelings for each other – and believed that it would be all happily – ever – after now (trust me, we have all been there!) but realise that there are a few more (okay, a lot more!) steps to conquer before that can even think of reaching that stage! *cries hysterically*
This novella; like it’s title suggests “The Gentleman’s Guide To Getting Lucky” is all about Monty panicking when Percy tries to have sex with him; and everything pretty much going wrong and then to the realisation that it doesn’t really have to be perfect for that first time (and the subsequent times) to be ah – mazing!
