This book starts off exactly where the first book ended; and honestly it just never stopped giving the reader different reasons to stay glued to the book, right till the end. And the climax – oh dear Lord, the climax; I never did see THAT twist coming and it had me slack jawed, literally enough that my husband got distracted from his own work; which never EVER happens.

Like I have always said, I hate cliff-hangers and somehow, I have never been able to read duets unless both installments are out in the wild EXCEPT when it comes to Aly Martinez – time and again, she has demonstrated the ability to be able to make sure that she destroys me completely and me being blissful enough to happily let her.

Since this is the second part in the duet, I have only tried to demonstrate how brilliant the author is in weaving plots and characters that you can’t help but fall deeper into the stories and root for couples that survive the worst traumas a human can go through and yet survive; even thrive. Her stories are full of hope and faith, that never fail to bring in a ray of optimism in our lives!
