Isabelle Rockwell is a wonderful female heroine – she is brainy, street smart but also has a compassionate side that somehow balances out her personality in a way that makes her all the more loveable.

Lyle Guero is a billionaire who just faced the most epic betrayal of his life – the one person who he thought as the only family just pretty much an all and out war to take away everything he has worked hard for! When he has to lay low, he decides to visit a resort with an ulterior motive – to go after the one who got away in Rome.

Isabelle and Lyle have quite the chemistry – they are opposites in the way they actually emote – while Isabelle handles emotions in a way that is open; Lyle is more closed off than she had expected – but when she realizes that it is a consequence of his upbringing, she does her best to teach him the way a true family supports each other.

I read this in one sitting – because I honestly couldn’t actually stop until Isabelle and Lyle got their HEA – and let me just go back to read book 2 till I wait for the next sibling to get their HEAs 😉
