This was the perfect conclusion to the Office Roulette Trilogy – this book focuses on the relationship between Gareth Nicollet and Cynthia Ellsworth – two people who have been slowly circling each other for eight months – mostly cause they have a physical relationship but are extremely independent people who refuse to accept that there is something far deeper brewing between them; well mostly Cynthia does.

At the end of the second book – there is a serious revelation about Gareth that undermines everything that the past 8 months have meant for Cynthia. And she ends up heartbroken – even if she stays strong because that’s exactly what she is – strong, independent and with a spine of steel.

Gareth, on the other hand, had a good reason to keep his brother a secret; mostly because he didn’t really think of him as a brother – but when Cynthia learns about this deception; he immediately moves into damage control.

The connection between Gareth and Cynthia is obvious to see – mostly because neither of them chooses to hide it – but it was this evident affection between that made watching them become each other’s support system absolutely amazing.

We also got to see how the other two couples get going after their HEA’s – but it was also amazing to see the deep and loyal friendship amongst the ladies but also with the couples together; especially with the murder investigation hanging over their heads.

The mystery itself was full of twists and turns – that I never could guess exactly what happened until it was all laid down on the table for me; figuratively of course.

This trilogy was quite the perfect with the perfect suspense; mystery and romances that would actually made me tingle in all the right places.
