Lieb

The Rules

  1. Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog!
  2. Give your readers 11 random facts about yourself.
  3. Answer the 11 questions from the blog who nominated you.
  4. Nominate 11 bloggers to receive this award.
  5. Come up with 11 questions for your nominees!

I was nominated twice (yes, you heard it right – TWICE! I am popular :P), first by Silanur (I really really love your name love<3) at Infinite Books and almost immediately by Michelle, (The Writing Badger, as I call her :D) at The Writing Hufflepuff 🙂

Thank you so much, you lovely bookworms :*

If you don’t already follow their amazing blogs, you definitely should. These beauties have amazing book recommendations 😀

11 Random Facts About Myself :

  1. I am 23 year old female who acts like a 7 year old.

  2. I am a secret romance freak. But only in books okay? Romance in real life gives me jitters.

  3. I have 4 real life friends. Although none of them are as crazy about books as I am.

  4. I get crazy about crimes (not about committing them, but about solving them!)

  5. I also am very curious as to what makes criminals tick. It’s the best kind of adrenaline I have gotten, apart from reading an amazing book.

  6. I loved testing out guns for the ballistics division in the forensics laboratory I work for. It’s quite fun.

  7. I have also become quite the marksman. Not perfect, but good enough at least with a .32 (And yes, I am quite proud of it!)

  8. I am a clumsy clumsy human.

  9. I love being a blogger. The fact that I can rant or even write down my opinions about a book that I loved, or even a book that I didn’t like. Makes me feel that someone cares :*

  10. I have never minded being alone. In fact, I love it. Being alone never bothered me, but it’s only recently that I have started feeling lonely.

  11. One of my close family members suffers from Paranoid Schizophrenia and it’s been a battle throughout my life.

Now for the questions by Silanur, because Michelle was a little lazy to ask questions (Trust me, Michelle, I feel you! <3)

“What are your favorite 3 books that you have read so far this year (2015)?”

I have already read about 150 books this year (Hooray for me :D), so choosing just three is like choosing a needle in a needle stock, but I will definitely try.

Solace by Therin Knite is a fantasy Time Travel YA novel about a girl who goes back in time to understand and know her father recently died. Beautifully written, it actually made me cry when I completed it during my work day. Pretty much freaked out everybody there 😀

Another book I really loved was Zodiac by Romina Russell. It is very difficult to create a whole new different world that make you want to live there instead of your own and Ms. Russell does this with aplomb.

The last book, though definitely not the least, is The Hooker and The Hermit by Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway. Penny Reid is one of my top #autoauthorbuys and being on her Always ARC list has been a privilege. Her books never fail to disappoint me. And now that I have gotten Ms. Cosway’s books, I can’t wait to fall for her too 🙂

“What are your favorite book covers?”

Some of the books I have recently seen have amazing covers. But the ones that I will always love, no matter what, will be the New Harry Potter Covers [Psshhh.. The ones that I am giving away ;)]

“Which books/authors got you into reading?”

Handsdown, Enid Blyton. I loved her books as a kid and I actually inhaled them. Re – read them so many times. But sadly, I lost them during a move. But I plan on getting them back. Soon 🙂

“What are 2 of your least favourite books?”

I don’t really have two book. But I did not like Pride and Prejudice by Jane Eyre. I read it when I was about 14 years old, but everything about the story and the plot itself irritated me. Hopefully, one day I will re – read it and I will have a different opinion.

“What are the three under – hyped books you recommend?”

Again, Solace by Therin Knite still takes the top post. It is one of the books that everyone really needs to read. Like seriously, right now!

There are no other specific books, but authors Penny Reid, Lori Foster and Maya Banks are some authors you really need to read if you love romance novels.

“What is your favorite book quote(s)? Why?”

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of places, if only one remembers to turn on the light.”

It’s a famous quote by Albus Dumbledore, and it has kept me smiling in many a dark times.

“How many books do you plan on reading this year?”

My GoodReads Reading Challenge is for 375 books. I hope I can complete it, but even if I don’t I will definitely have fun trying to 😉

“Who are 5 of your fictional boy/girl friends?”

Umm… This is a really hard question but I am gonna take both sexes here, even though I am definitely totally straight 😀

1. Sherlock Holmes (does this even need a reason?)

2. Luna LoveGood (I am in love with her brand of Crazy!)

3. Ronan Fitzpatrick from The Hooker and The Hermit by Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway (He is yummylicious. ‘nough said!)

4. Janie Morris from Neanderthal Seeks Human (She is adorable geeky and I see a lot of myself in her!)

5. Ian Taggart from The Masters and Mercenaries Series (He is a Dom. He is loud. He is crude but he is softy at heart. Therefore, everything I want :D).

“Name one book that everyone loves but you despise?”

It isn’t exactly a book, but a series. The Mortal Instrument Series by Cassandra Clare is one series that I haven’t even finished, let alone even liked. I struggled through City of Bones, and while i tried to read City of Ashes, I gave up on it few pages in. It has a really big fan following, so I have decided to actually read the Infernal Devices, because I loved the Manga edition of that series.

Also, the new UK covers of TMI series is brilliant, makes me want to get them as well (cover whore here, people!).

“What’s your favorite genre?”

I do not have a favorite genre. I can read anything as long as it’s written well and I love the plot. But yes, I do have a hankering for particular genres at particular times, and at those times, no other book would do! 🙂

“Do you watch booktube videos? If so, why?”

No. I don’t watch booktube videos. I only open my laptop when I want watch my favorite serials and most recently, to write for my blog. Beyond that, I just read.

Phew… That took  a long time to write down the answers to! Thanks for brainercise Silanur and Michelle ❤

2. Manny (Paper Prancer)

10. Varsha (Words Are Magic Galore)

11. Kara (Kara’s Chapter)

Now for my questions for the nominees 🙂

1. The book/author that you owe your reading obsession to?

2. Your first fictional love.

3. Your top 5 fictional role models and why?

4. Which book/series has influenced you the most?

5. Where do you find new books to read from?

6. One person (can be anyone) whose reading recommendations you would follow blindly?

7. Who is your go to listening partner for all things fictional?

8. One fictional world you would give up everything to live in.

9. The one book that has bought you out of a bad time.

10. Book/Series that you wish would turn into a TV Serial so as not to compromise on any detail.

Ping me back if and when you do the post, you bookworms! I would love to know the answers to all of these ❤

I love you all :*
